Top 5 Award Season Looks of the Year

These stars has gracefully blew viewers away across television screens for their fashionable ensembles.

As award season made its way to television screens, we take a look at actresses that has been rated Top 5 for their attire. These women came to do one thing and that was to strut the red carpet with a whole lot of confidence, coming in elegant chic to coat hanging avant-garde.

1. ZENDAYA COLEMAN

We start off with a crowd favourite, Zendaya Coleman draped in Valentino. A new take on fabulous and fierce, the ensemble was completed with a pearlescent white satin crop button up shirt paired with a skirt bedazzled with silver sequences. On the 27th March 2022 the Oscar Awards took place an aired on television globally, Zendaya attended to support Dune. This year on the red carpet, Zendaya made reference to Sharon Stones, 1998s Oscar look . Who doesn’t love a red carpet historic moment.

2. LILY JAMES

No Versace on the floor just some jaws after Lilly James strut the carpet at this years 74th Annual Emmy Awards on the 12th September at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, for her first time. The Emmy awards celebrates television academy members and this year they’ve invited James for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie nominee for her role in the movie “Pam & Tommy” which is a drama/comedy as she starred as Pamela Anderson.

The actress was styled in a Bronze like shiny Versace Atelier dress paired with gold hoops and gold arm bands and lastly gold rings made by De Beers Jewellers . The dress showed off the actresses body with a ruched up corset bodice and spaghetti strap with gold detail.

ETOnline presenter, Morgan Hoffman says: “Lily James reminds us why she was a perfect Cinderella as she looks like a real princess in this bronze versace gown, anybody notices how her hair matches her dress, I love it”

3. ZOË KRAVITZ

Bringing all the boys to the yard, Zoe Kravitz has turned heads with her cracking backless dress. At the Vanity Fair Oscar party on 27th in Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills, Kravits stunned everybody with a white backless Saint Laurent gown. The garment follows all the way to the neck and dropped all the way down to a peak of her butt styled with little to no make-up and a sleek hairstyle inspired by none other than Audrey Hepburn . Kravitz attended the party after she attended the Annual Oscar Awarded ceremony as one of the presenters.

Vogues Deputy Director of global fashion network, Laura Ingham says “Zoë Kravitz is simply immaculate on the red carpet”, after her appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars.

3. DAKOTA JOHNSON

A majestic sight as ever, Dakota Johnson has graced our eyes with the most beautiful gown. Johnson arrived at Vanity Fairs Oscar party on the 27th March in a beautiful pink Gucci dress draped with feathers and sequins styled with her iconic fringe along with a half up bun, half down hairdo. Before Dakota wore the most breathtaking ensemble, the dress made an appearance at the Gucci Love Parade which was hosted in Los Angles.

Vogues Associate Social Media Manager, Hannah Daly said “Have I stopped dreaming about Dakota Johnson’s Vanity Fair after-party look? Nope. Will I move on any time soon? No chance. Johnson and Gucci is always a winning combination, and this feathered gown is truly the perfect dress”, and we could not agree more.

5. MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL

Functional is an understatement with Maggie Gyllenhaal avant-garde look. At the 94th Oscar Awards Ceremony on the 27th March 2022 at the Dolby theater at Ovation Hollywood, Maggie appeared on the red carpet with an off the shoulder black dress made by the icon Schiaparelli, styled with a sleek bun with a fair amount of make-up and a striking red lip. Maggie was invited to the awards as her newest film was nominated for 3 Oscar awards.

Vogues Fashion Feature Editor, Laura Hawkins said “She stole the show in this custom Schiaparelli gown. She also said “Elegant, unusual and boasting a healthy dose of dazzle, this look is going straight into my Gyllenhaal Hall of Fame, along with her other reigning red-carpet looks by Rodarte, Valentino and Celine”
